What is your favorite Starbucks coffee? What do you order all the time when your in Starbucks?
I love their Caramel Frappuccino

Post 2 by Polka dots and Moonbeams (I've now got the bronze prolific poster award! now going for the silver award!) on Friday, 05-Jun-2009 17:53:06

Tripple tall Americano, with room for cream. I then put in 1 sugar, a ton of vanilla, and some cream.

In the summer time I love the vanilla frapachino. At least I think that is what it is called.

I know you only asked about drinks, but I'll expand to include my fave treats from Starbucks as well. *smile*

The pumpkin scoan is the tops baby!
Lemon pound cake, pumpkin loaf, and the dark chocolate grahams. Thos are my faves.

A little side note, at Barnes and Noble I get the Starbucks Americano as well, but along side that is the huge, yummy peanut butter cookie!

Can we say yummos!!!

OMG! In the wintertime I get the following:
1. caramel latte with extra caramel (large size, with four shots of espresso)
2. white mocha
3. caramel mochiato
4. pumpkin spice latte
Drinks in the spring and summertime I get are as follows:
1. iced caramel latte
2. iced white mocha
3. iced caramel mochiato
4. java chip frappuccino
5. caramel frappuccino

The only food that I have eaten was their chocolate chip cookies, I think it was that. OMG it was good! There's a Starbucks right by my university where I'll be a freshman! Yay!

Will have to try other drinks. Any suggestions?

I don't go to Starbucks often, and honestly I don't have a particular favorite. I always like to try things I haven't tried before, so I usually like to ask which flavor they're featuring that time. If that doesn't strike my fancy, though, I'll tend to just go for a cafe mocha, either hot or iced. Last time I went, I had this dark chocolate cherry mocha which was very tasty.

No one just drinks the daily brew? Coffee? Lol. I don't know what I like best. As a side note for us they offer 2 hours a day free Wi Fi access if you get a Starbucks card and register it online, so not a bad deal. Put $5 on a card and get the numbers read to you on it and you are set.

I order a coffee flavored coffee, in a cup shaped cup, with sugar flavored sugar. then I drink said coffee flavored coffee, and revel in my ability to order my drink without having to take a breath and span the widths of six languages to try to find the right adjective, and memorize the gibberish they try to pass of as coffee terms. Whilst being absolutely joyous over the fact that I fully realize and comprehend that tall, grande, and vente, are not sizes of coffee at all, and make absolutely no sense. the shortest cup is called tall, the cup that is not the largest is called grande, and the largest is called some made up word that is designed to make me feel important, and forget that I just spend nineteen dollars on a cup of something that may, or may not, actually contain coffee.
Yay, for coffee flavored coffee.

Yup straight up brew for me, the only add is sometimes shots of Espresso, I believe they call that Shot in the Dark.

I have a registered card. Will have to try the WiFi thing. I'm signed up for it. I haven't gone to Starbucks in a while. :(!

Post 11 by forereel (Just posting.) on Monday, 21-Jun-2010 1:30:27

Post 8 made me laugh. hahaha. Just think if you get the list in braille? Lol. Better to get "coffee" in the middle sized cup and sit down and log on then reade the list. In braille it could out weigh you.

Post 12 by singingsensation (I just keep on posting!) on Sunday, 27-Jun-2010 23:03:45

LOL.

Post 13 by singingsensation (I just keep on posting!) on Tuesday, 20-Jul-2010 13:12:39

I also tried the mocha frappuccino. It was really good! And I also tried an iced tea passion fruit lemonade. It was really good! Just a bit sour but good.

I visit a particular Starbucks almost daily. Aldo, I brew Starbucks at home. One of my favorites used to be the mint mocha (hot or iced, season-dependent). I can no longer have something so carb-filled. My selections are now: iced Passion tea (w/2 Splenda or 1 Splenda and one shot of raspberry), Iced or hot black (decaf or caf, depends on time of day), unseasoned, 2 Splenda, or 1 shot of chocolate, Americano (iced or hot), usually not flavored. All drinks are the Vente size. I have the rewards card, which entitles me to free refills and drink customizations. Also, every 10th drink, oer so, is free, by redeming a card that arrives in snail mail. Finally, as of July 1, wifi is free, with no time limits, regardless of whether you have rewards card.

Post 15 by singingsensation (I just keep on posting!) on Wednesday, 21-Jul-2010 22:09:14

I heard about the WiFi thing. Every 15 drinks you get a coupon to get a free drink if you're at the gold level. Is the Americano any good? What's it taste like? I'd like to try iced coffee. Any suggestions for just starting out to drink real coffee?
Macy
PS: I have a great idea for the rewards program. Let me know what you think about this. I don't think you should go in 30 times to get 30 stars. I think that's crazy. I don't have a Starbucks in my area, the closest one is a half hour away from me. And my parents won't let me go a lot. Here's my idea: instead of going in 30 times, they should do what Subway does; calculate the total spent rounded up to the cent or something. So let's say you spent $10, you'd get 10 stars. Or $10.65, you'd get 11 stars because if it's 5 or higher, you'd go up. At least that's how Subway does it. I have a rewards card from them, and I have $5 left on it, it's registered, and I have 5 points on it.
Hope you get my drift.

The Americano is espresso and water. Iced, it's fabulous! I am at the Gold level, and have gotten 3 of those free-drink coupons. They're a great surprise to arrive in the snail mail. I would suggest you start out with just-plain iced coffee, perhaps, with a shot of a flavor, like vanilla or hazel.

Post 17 by singingsensation (I just keep on posting!) on Thursday, 22-Jul-2010 22:13:02

Ok. So what do you think about the rewards program idea? What's hazelnut taste like? I've heard it's good, but I don't really know. LOL. Does tripple tall mean vente?
Sorry for all the stupid questions.

I will. Thanks. Sorry again.

The smallest cup is the Tall. VBente is the largest and is 20 ounces. I think the Tall is 12, and the Grande is 16? Check the site, already referenced here.

I think you're right.

Silver LIghtning

I love your remarks in post eight. Made me laugh like crazy. I hate going in those places cause i don't know the cool words. Then on top of that around here we have the foreign contingent who can't speak english and they have to learn vente and all that? Makes me take a deep cleansing breat many times.

The mint mocha latte with soy please and no whipped. love the whipped but it makes me sooooo sick. Something that i totally don't get is you can get soy milk in your coffee but they only have whipped cream. excuse me, but what's a lactose intollerant gal got to do? I realize it would ruin their snooty earthy crunchy image, but you'd think they'd have cool whip for us folks.

When it is the holiday season, I love their pumpkin latte and the gingerbread one as well.
For sweets any scone is good and their oold fashioned coffee cake. my mom used to make one that tastes just like it. I'll have to try the chocolate grahams. yummmmmm.

Post 23 by singingsensation (I just keep on posting!) on Monday, 02-Aug-2010 21:54:19

the pumpkin spice latte in the holiday season is the tops! I haven't seen the chocolate grahams.

Post 24 by Dave_H (the boringest guy you'll ever know) on Tuesday, 03-Aug-2010 15:08:50

Yes, they should have a non-dairy whipped topping. Odd that they don't, since they offer soy milk. Have you written this suggestion to them?

Post 25 by LeoGuardian (You mean there is something outside of this room with my computer in it?) on Tuesday, 03-Aug-2010 16:29:29

The truth is, non-dairy doesn't whip properly.
I was in the food business for a year or so, and ran a coffee cart in a location where noses had a proclivity to attach themselves to the ceiling people were so stuck up. I really should have suspended our Daily Specials write-on-wipe-off board horizontally on the ceiling so they with noses in the air could actually see it.
Anyway, you have to have a certain consistency / fat content and other things to make your mixture whip like whipped cream. Add to this the cream must fluff and be suitable for hot drinks. Much as the health / vegan types didn't want to hear it, it's not a politics issue but a chemistry problem. Ah well, that's what they got having an engineer as a blind vendor.

Post 26 by turricane (happiness and change are choices ) on Wednesday, 04-Aug-2010 8:50:28

so leo cool whip won't float on top of coffee? works on mine at home all the time. don't knock it til you try it. they also make non dairy cream now fyi. i'll have to get some and try whipping it this weekend.

Post 27 by LeoGuardian (You mean there is something outside of this room with my computer in it?) on Wednesday, 04-Aug-2010 11:21:37

This was a few years ago, and apparently it didn't make the grade commercially, meaning some users would use it but not enough nondairy users would tolerate it enough to make the purchase economically viable. On a personal front if it works great, go for it.

Post 28 by CrazyMusician (If I don't post to your topic, it's cuz I don't give a rip about it!) on Wednesday, 04-Aug-2010 13:19:21

I like Starbucks' Chai lattes; they're the best! I get mine with skim milk and an extra pump of chai... they cure ALL bad days! I don't know why, but for some reason whenever I go to my local starbucks after a hellish day they don't make me pay for my coffee... are they psychic or something?

I like their chocolate chip frappuccinos, but really don't like iced coffee...

In the winter around Christmas their peppermint hot chocolate is the bomb!

In terms of their coffee itself, though I'm not a fan. It doesn't seem to agree with me very well. Second Cup has better coffee and coffee lattes, in my opinion.

NOOOO! I have tasted good chai and not so good chai. It's a spicy tea

Post 31 by singingsensation (I just keep on posting!) on Wednesday, 18-Aug-2010 18:34:46

I tried a small one and it seemed pretty good.

Post 32 by singingsensation (I just keep on posting!) on Wednesday, 18-Aug-2010 18:35:26

Also, coconut frappuccinos are really good!

Post 33 by singingsensation (I just keep on posting!) on Friday, 20-Aug-2010 23:33:46

Today I ordered an extra coffee caramel frappuccino and it was delicious! I think the next time Igo I'm going to try one of their scones or something. As for drinks, I think I'm going to try an iced chai tea latte, americano, one of the frapps I haven't tried, not sure. The petite vanilla bean scone souns so yummy and so does the pumpkin one! They also have pumpkin bread.

Post 34 by singingsensation (I just keep on posting!) on Sunday, 16-Jan-2011 23:31:21

I love the petite vanilla bean scone!!! I also tried the caramel brulay latte and it was extremely good!! With nonfat milk!

Post 35 by LeoGuardian (You mean there is something outside of this room with my computer in it?) on Monday, 17-Jan-2011 18:06:44

Imho the very best scone from them is Cranberry Orange. Now you'll hate me because once you've had one, no other scone can compete. Cranberry orange plain rocks!

Post 36 by singingsensation (I just keep on posting!) on Thursday, 27-Jan-2011 1:33:26

I'll try it, thanks!

Post 37 by singingsensation (I just keep on posting!) on Sunday, 02-Oct-2011 12:17:25

I don't know if anyone knows about this, but they now have Starbucks petites. I really like the tiramisu cake pop, rocky road cake pop, and the birthday cake pop. I also like their salted caramel sweet square. So good! They're from 150-180 calories, so a better alternative if you want it. Their double chocolate brownie is delish! And they have this new drink out called the Salted Caramel Mocha, haven't tried it yet though.

Post 38 by Dave_H (the boringest guy you'll ever know) on Tuesday, 04-Oct-2011 16:22:48

I tried the salted hot chocolate; it's one strange-flavored drink!

I usually just ordered regular coffee, really hahaha! but now I can't drink that stuff and mostly just do hot chocolate and enjoy the environment I guess?
